BLS - Instructor-Led Training (Initial or Renewal)
The BLS for Healthcare Providers Course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

CEU's are available for this course upon request.

Once you become an AHA BLS Instructor, you will have access to the most current emergency cardiovascular care science, course updates, training resources and tools through the online AHA Instructor Network.
HeartCode® BLS - Blended Learning Training
HeartCode BLS uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills.

After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with an AHA Instructor. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing. Where available, students may also complete the hands-on session with a voice-assisted manikin (VAM).

HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course.
Heartsaver® CPR AED
Heartsaver CPR AED Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

Heartsaver® CPR AED Blended Learning Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

Upon successful completion of the course, including a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

For those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
The AHA's Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

Upon successful completion of the course(s), including a first aid skills demonstration and a CPR and AED skills test, students receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

Heartsaver Courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), coaching, or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.

The course covers child/infant CPR, child/infant AED, child/infant choking, and pediatric first aid. Adult modules in CPR, AED and choking are optional.

This course takes 8 hours to complete.
