ACLS/BLS – Blended Learning Option – May 6th – 9am – 1pm

Prerequisites: Must be proficient in BLS skills. Initial or renewal ACLS students may take this course.

Online course duration: ACLS is approximately 6 to 8 hours and BLS is approximately 1.5 to 3.5 hours, each depending on the students level of proficiency.

Audience: (i) Advanced Cardiovasular Life Support (ACLS) is designed to provide education to a wide variety of healthcare students, medical professionals, EMS, and other personnel working in healthcare occupations where this training is required; and (ii) Basic Life Support (BLS) is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare students, medical professionals, EMS, and other personnel working in healthcare occupations.

What is covered: Team dynamics and communication, systems of care, management of cardiac arrhythimas, resuscitation, and the immediate post-cardiac arrest care are covered with special emphasis on the prevention of cardiac arrest. The ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in a safe, timely, and effective manner are the main highlights of the curriculum.

Completion card: ACLS Provider and BLS eCards are issued immediately at the end of the in-person skills session; eCards are valid for two years.

Notes: Part 1 of this course is taken ONLINE through eLearning.Heart.org with the access code supplied with your registration which will be emailed to you within 24 hours of your registration. It is important to allow yourself enough time to complete both courses prior to your in-person Skills Session (Parts 2 and 3) which will be completed at our training facility located at 4918 Sonoma Hwy, Santa Rosa, 95409 on March 19th.

ACLS – Hands-On Skills Session Only – May 6th 9am – 1pm

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is designed to highlight the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care.


This Part 2 Hands-On Session cost is $80.00 and is required after completing the HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 online which is an official, self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program from the American Heart Association (AHA) and can be purchased here: Heartcode ACLS Online. HeartCode® ACLS Part 1 uses eSimulation technology to present realistic patient scenarios. Students are presented with a team dynamics lesson, 10 ACLS hospital-based case scenarios, and a written exam. While interacting with the program, students assess each patient, formulate a treatment plan based on ACLS guidelines, and provide treatment. The time that it takes to complete the online portion varies from student to student.


Upon completion of your online course, you will be provided a course completion certificate that is required at start of your Hands-On Session. Once Hands-On Session is finished, you will receive a 2 year course completion eCard.
